Air&Skin is an international music and poetry ensemble,
initiated by poet and director Julian M. Grünthal
who writes all the lyrics.
From these lyrics, singer-songwriters Rahel Nahely
from Switzerland, and Anat Porat from Israel,
compose and perform Air&Skin’s songs,
and Julian presents the lyrics as spoken word performance.
The other musicians are Drummer and sound artist
Rolf Caflisch, guitarist Daniel Wisman,
Violonist Monica Tarcsay and bass player Rees Coray.
We believe wholeheartedly in intercultural collaboration.
This was true at the founding moment of Air&Skin in 2021, and it is even more true now, in a world in which the cruel reality of war, desperation, retaliation and the division of entire societies, right down to family structures, also affects us especially as an ensemble that does not submit to a reassuringly binary world view of good and evil.
The texts by Air&Skin explore human abysses and longings, anger and forgiveness, love and violence.
This song gave us our band's name Air&Skin
.and it holds a lot of our essence
A combination of poetry and music, tender and dark, filled with desire and hope. Voices blending with the delicately slicing violin, acoustic guitars, double bass and percussion. A mysterious atmosphere of longing and the rhythm of breathing in and out
This is a live acoustic studio recording

Inhale
don't tell what you smell
It’s your small
provocative secret
Well, well
give in, give up, give in
to air and skin
Exhale
your air
on his skin
from within
eternalize your sin
Well, well
give in, give up, give in
to air and skin
Wish for this to be
fantasy
but well, well, well
It’s not
It is reality
Well, well
give in, give up, give in
to air and skin
air and skin
Inhale
Exhale
